Stay Ready...

Some of you may or may not have heard the saying, "Stay ready, so you don't have to get ready!" But do we really live by those words? What does that saying mean to you? There can be several ways to interpret that.

One way is to leave your home earlier than the allotted time, just in case you run into traffic on your way to work. Do you make sure that you fill up your gas tank at the end of the day so that you do not have to go to the gas station in the morning? Do you wake up the first time your alarm goes off, or do you steal a little more time?

You can also use this interpretation when leaving your home to take your children somewhere. If you are going to be gone for a long time, will you have snacks and drinks ready in case they say they're hungry? Is your gas tank already full, so that will be one less stop to make?

No matter where we live in the world right now, the weather has been abnormal. In the case of inclement weather, do you have supplies and/or a hiking backpack that contains all necessities for each family member in the home?

Ok, ok, let me lighten the mood of the "stay ready" scenarios. If your friend or family member calls you to go on a last-minute trip, do you have funds set aside to be able to go? What about a concert?

Whatever the saying means to you, remind yourself to honor your commitments and promises that you make to yourself. You will end your day on a happy note, feeling more fulfilled. While listening to guided meditation the other day, the guide mentioned that people who talk are talkers, but people who "do" are doers. Her exact words were, "People who talk sh*t don't do sh*t, and people who do sh*t don't talk sh*t. Let that marinate.

Try it and let me know how it works out for you.

Until next time...With Love, Tee Marie 🧡
