Hey, hey it's welfare check time!! How is everyone? It has officially been 2 years since COVID, do you have a working plan in place yet? As I have shared in a previous blog post, my county that I live in does not support virtual schooling. So my 3 children are all in school in person. We have a system now so they know to continue to wear their masks all day and come straight home and wash their hands. Every few months we all get COVID tests to ensure that we are not positive.
So often we find that our body gives us signals that we ignore. Have you ever felt so tired that you just could not do anything else? That happens when you work your body to its breaking point. Although our bodies were designed to withstand A LOT! We can only get out what we put in. What are you feeding yourself? Not just eating, what are you feeding your mind as well? Try saying affirmations that encourage you to be your best self. Self love is so often overlooked and under
Who else is over all of this virtual communicating? ✋🏽 Although we are tired of all of this virtual communication, it appears it is our new way of socializing. I have seen large crowd gatherings but I am still uncomfortable with the idea that people are still consistently falling ill to COVID-19 and losing their lives. Although I do know quite a few people who have been infected with the disease and are doing just fine now, I just DO NOT want to chance infecting my children,
If you have children and live in the southern states, then you are getting ready for back to school already. I have heard things about different counties here in Georgia that talk about children going to school virtually from August 17th-September 8th. After that there would be different phases of children returning to school. For example lower grade children return to school 4 hours a day for 2 days each week. Then progressively add on more grades and opposite days of the wee
We have come a long way since the beginning of this pandemic. I don't know about you but I have a pretty decent routine now. I am enjoying going outside and taking in fresh air. I have always enjoyed being outside when I was younger. I was raised during the time when going outside was more appealing than staying inside playing video games. Now that indoor activities are limited to essential visits only, I have been able to take time to go outside and enjoy nature again. I can
2020 is going to go down in history as a one of the most tumultuous years to date! This year started off with so many high hopes and goals of having "perfect vision" to start this decade off right. We were also told it would be the year of the nurse, now we know why. However, very early on we learned that this year had more to offer than what we bargained for. What initially began as an illness on the other side of the world, very quickly entered our country, community, famil
Happy, sad, angry, confused, overwhelmed, distraught, excited, disappointed, bewildered and the list can go on. At some time in our lives all of us have experienced one of these emotions, maybe even more than one at the same time! I want to talk about the importance of allowing yourself to feel your emotions. In my personal experience, ignoring your emotions do not help you at all. All it does is delay your feelings for a later time. Instead of ignoring my emotions, I now sit
None of us were prepared for what the end of February 2020 had in store for us. If there was no other time that we needed to stick together, the time is now! A good habit to start if you are not already doing so is to start writing in a journal. Not just any journal, a gratitude journal. I like to write in my gratitude journal at night so that I can go to bed relaxed and feeling good about all the things I have to be grateful for. For example, both myself and my husband work
