Life is Short

When was the last time you told the ones you love, "I love you"? "I miss you", when you don't see them for a day or so? I was recently reminded of the importance of these 3 words when my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized for 3 days. He was eating a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich and tore his esophagus!! After losing a considerable amount of blood he was admitted. (I do not eat chicken and have not eaten chicken for about a year now) I don't know what about the sandwich caused the tear but, I was reminded that all of the things we take for granted can be gone in the blink of an eye. To know my husband is to know that he is a pretty healthy guy that very rarely gets sick, so it was extremely difficult to wait for the hospital staff to figure out what caused this sudden medical emergency. He is now out of the hospital and on the road to recovery.

Be sure to tell those that you love, "I love you" whether you think they already know or not. Hug them and hold them tight because you never know if there will be something sudden that may limit your time with them. Live each day intentionally and make your life worth something. If there is some thing that you have been wanting to try for the first time or there is a goal that you keep putting off, START TODAY! DON'T WAIT!
