Let's Get Comfortable

We have come a long way since the beginning of this pandemic. I don't know about you but I have a pretty decent routine now. I am enjoying going outside and taking in fresh air. I have always enjoyed being outside when I was younger. I was raised during the time when going outside was more appealing than staying inside playing video games. Now that indoor activities are limited to essential visits only, I have been able to take time to go outside and enjoy nature again. I can't say that before having to be quarantined I took the time to enjoy outdoors the way I do now. I even became a plant mom! I am almost sure that I would never have become interested in having plants if I wasn't sheltered in. First of all, where would I have found the time? I appreciate having time for things that have slowed me down and allowed me to stop and smell the roses.

I urge you to find a hobby or go back to something that you enjoyed from your childhood that you wouldn't mind bringing back. Ride a bike, play tennis, walk, run, birdwatch, do whatever. If you want to have a vacation, create one for yourself. Recently my family and I rented an Air BNB that had a pool of its own. That limited us having to leave the home for entertainment. I went grocery shopping one day and that sustained us for the entire trip. Sure I had to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, but my family did not have worry about interacting with the general public. We did go out to eat one evening and opted to eat outdoors where social distancing was being practiced between tables and the waiting staff all wore masks.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you stay safe. Travel with your own cleaning supplies, wear, wash, and disinfect your mask, wash your hands for 20 seconds with hot water and be sure to lather!! Only go to stores for your necessities.
